I want you to imagine something with me. It’s said that if the gospel isn’t good news for everyone, then it isn’t gospel. So what if the story of Christmas isn’t pointing to a specific point in the past?
What if this story is pointing back at us?
Asking us if we see ourselves in the Christ, in His Mother, in the Magi who were foreign priests, in the shepherds, in a fearful father who had to protect his family, in the immigrants running for their lives, in the child.
May this story be one of transformation and truth, or revival and revolution. May it be fuel for you—to light your way as we enter into a new year, a new season of hope and possibility. May you see yourself in these stories, and may you conversely see Christ in your present moment – as we journey forward.
May you know that you were chosen.
